Oliver

We want you to know how happy we are to have adopted Oliver. He is a great companion to Missy our Chihuahua which we adopted the week earlier. As you know when Oliver came to you he was unable to walk, but as the video shows, not only can he walk, but he can run and play. Thank you to you and your staff for helping us find two great pets.

Comment from Animal Services:

1 year-old Oliver came to AS when his owner could no longer care for him due to medical issues. She reported that he was suffering from partial paralysis in his hindquarters and she could not lift him to care for him. After she surrendered Oliver, he lived in the office for two weeks and kept doing better and better. We even discovered he was totally housebroken. Soon he was scurrying around on all fours, playing with his toys and winning over the hearts of the entire staff. One day, a wonderful family came in (the Blodgett's) and, seeing Oliver, just had to have him. They were recent adopters and had previously cared for their special needs dog until he passed away of old age. It was love at first site! A few weeks later, they stopped by to bring us a video of Oliver in his new home, frolicking after enjoying a good bath. Oliver loves everybody, and everybody loves Oliver!
