Rusty

Dear Mr. Thorpe,

On October 16th my daughter-in-law and I had occasion to visit Citrus County Animal Services. I was so impressed with the friendliness of the clerical and professional staff. I met with Pattie Amon and the vet Julie Rosenberger.

The dog that I originally was interested in was Greta. Greta is a very nice dog, however, not the dog for me. I just lost my black lab, who also was a dog from Animal Services that needed special care, and due to the fact that I am older, I did not think I could handle that again.

Since we were there, we took a look at the animals up for adoption. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the animals being housed there and gave me a brief history of each dog I was interested in. Since I am a senior citizen she was very helpful in advising me of the demeanor of each animal. I was so very impressed at the cleanliness of the facility and the condition of the animals. This shows me a very dedicated and loving staff.

When we found a dog we thought would fit our household, we were taken to the visitation area and met “Rusty”. Rusty and I bonded almost immediately. He is a very loving, gentle, sweet dog. When Rafael put Rusty through his paces, I was amazed at how well trained Rusty is considering that short time that he was at the facility. We came back the same day and adopted Rusty.

I am an animal lover and just felt compelled to write you about my wonderful day at the Animal Services. Kudos!! to the wonderful people who work with these animals, I wish I could have adopted more.

Sincerely,

Helen Maidhof
